July 18, 2017 1:14 am

As the newest political party on the block, Unity Fiji has years of experience in its executive with a Former Governor for the Reserve Bank of Fiji, Savenaca Narube at the helm.

Narube says the party has grown out of the need for a creditable political alternative.

“We are not a fly by night movement, the party has been in the making for several years. We wanted a movement that all the people of Fiji can call our own, very importantly Unity Fiji brings a new brand of politics that puts people and not politics first.”

Qoro is not new to politics having been part of the People’s Democratic Party which she resigned from last year.

General Secretary Satish Kumar brings with him a wealth of local government experience as well as a career in teaching.

The party aims to launch its official website next week and has set up offices in the four main divisions.
