Three men to be produced in court for aggravated robbery

Three men alleged to have been involved in two separate aggravated robbery cases will be produced in a special court sitting today.

Police spokesperson, Ana Naisoro, says the first accused is alleged to have been involved in the Lotus Foreign Exchange robbery two weeks ago.

He has been charged with one count of aggravated robbery and involvement whereby a safe containing $60,000 was stolen.

In a separate case, two men will be produced for allegedly robbing Poly Products whereby they stole $4000 cash and a mobile phone.

Meanwhile last Friday a man appeared at the Suva Magistrates Court charged with two counts of aggravated robbery.

Police say he robbed a senior executive of Rajendra’s Supermarket and stole cash and assorted jewellery worth $3000.

Police are also exploring several leads whereby a police vehicle was stoned in Tamavua-I-Wai last week.
