Tagicakibau presents credentials to president Jinping

Ambassador Manasa Tagicakibau presented his credentials to the President of the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.

In receiving Tagicakibau’s Letter of credence, President Xi welcomed the him to China and expressed his sincere greetings and good wishes to Fiji President Major-General (Ret’d) Jioji Konrote, Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama, the Government and people of Fiji.

He emphasized on how China is willing to further enhance political mutual trust, deepen pragmatic cooperation and people-to-people exchanges, and strengthen coordination and cooperation in international affairs.

Tagicakibau acknowledged China’s support towards Fiji’s development path, whilst also assuring President Xi Jinping of Fiji’s commitment to the “One China Policy”.

Diplomats at the Fiji Embassy – Counsellor Ratish Singh, First Secretary Apolosi Lewaqai and Second Secretary Amelia Cobona – Werelagi were also in attendance.
