Space constraints are a major concern for medical officers at the Nausori Health and Medical Service Centre.

This was revealed to FBC News by the Nausori Sub-Divisional Medical Officer Dr. Akesh Narayan during a visit by Minister for Health and Medical Services Jone Usamate today.

There are a lot of challenges, space constraint and with the number of patients and doctors ratio is another issue that has to be addressed

Dr. Narayan says a plan to extend the emergency department has been put to the Minister who confirms changes are coming.

More doctors and nurses are expected to join the health centre to boost medical service delivery.
