Lesuma also stressed the need to have a security strategy in the face of threats to peace and security in the region.

“We need to have a strategy that is relevant to our security needs from law and order to step-in, maritime security as well as a natural disaster but what is of great importance is to have a strategy that is linked to our respective national security strategy”.

Lesuma stresses that as representatives, they have a greater responsibility in ensuring regional security and make decisions that will positively impact people’s lives.

The MSG member countries include Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, New Caledonia, and Indonesia.
