Police and Emergency service officers are currently searching for a 16-year-old boy who is believed to have been swept into a culvert.

FBC News understands the boy was playing rugby at the Nadera grounds when he went to retrieve the rugby ball which had fallen into the nearby flooded drain.

Police Spokesperson Ana Naisoro confirms that they received a report on the incident of the boy been swept away and are currently carrying out a search in the area.
