Samuel Simpson new LTA CEO

Samuel Charles Simpson is the new Chief Executive of Land Transport Authority.

Simpson who is from the United Kingdom joined LTA last Wednesday and brings with him extensive experience in the transport industry.

He says that he is ready to take LTA to new heights.

“I want the LTA to be really customer focused. I want us to concentrate on safety, road safety is an issue, vehicle safety is always an issue and I am looking forward to working with the LTA team to continuously improve both on the customer’s service and citizens of Fiji get and also in terms of road safety.”

Simpson says he is ready for his challenging and interesting role at LTA.

He says it will be hard but when they get it right, it will be rewarding and most importantly, it should be fun.

Simpson previously worked in the bus industry in Ireland, Middle East, Asia, America and London.

LTA Board Chair, Vijay Maharaj says with vigorous selection process for the recruitment of its CEO, Simpson’s strong leadership qualities and managerial skills put him as the best candidate.
