The Revised Edition of the Laws of Fiji was launch in the last hour at the 18th Attorney-General’s Conference at Natadola Sigatoka.
At the launch, Attorney-General, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum, told a room full of lawyers, parliamentarians and members of the diplomatic corp, that the revised laws are a historic achievement.
President Major General Retired Jioji Konrote, Speaker of Parliament Dr Jiko Luveni and Chief Justice Anthony Gates officiated at the launch.

Sayed-Khaiyum says errors from the 1985 laws have also been corrected.
The new laws incorporate all 2016 Acts of Parliament, and all regulations and by-laws as well.
The last revision of Fiji’s laws was 30 years ago.
