Rakiraki town will be closed from 7.30 am today.

This was confirmed by the Ra Provincial Administrator-Kelepi Kubunameca as works need to be done in most town areas due to the effects of Tropical Cyclone Winston.

“So if you travel or planning to use the King road and Rakiraki town. The town will be close from tomorrow at 7.30 until all the clearing work is done. So please stay home and stay calm. We need our town to be fully operated from Wednesday so tomorrow give us a chance to clear up the town and all the debris which has been logged up by logs and flying objects.”

Most areas in the Ra province are severely affected by TC Winston.
