PSC fills majority of acting positions

More than fifty percent of acting positions within the Public Service Commission have been filled.

This was confirmed by Permanent Secretary Parmesh Chand.

The PSC believes people in acting positions do not perform as well as they do in a confirmed position.

“There were as many as 3,300 acting appointments we have brought it down to around 1500 now and by the target timing by end of June we will bring it down even further.”

Meanwhile at least two Permanent Secretary Post’s are still vacant.
