Prostate cancer on the rise:FCS

October 31, 2017 1:21 am

The Fiji Cancer Society has revealed that the number of men diagnosed with prostate cancer is increasing.

FCS Admin Supporter, Shiuwani Devi says we need to come forward and talk about the deadly disease as many people tend to take this subject lightly.

“Prostate cancer is on the rise at the moment and there are a lot of men who refuse to believe things about this disease when we try and spread awareness or tell them about this particular cancer because many think they can’t suffer from it, that cancer cannot touch them and things like that. But cancer does not affect you by your race, religion, educational level or gender. So it does not matter what you are or who you are, it can still affect you.”
