The discovery of the five bodies in the Nausori Highlands on Monday is devastating news for the nation says, Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama.

Speaking during the opening of the Ra Provincial Council meeting, Bainimarama says that he knows the news would be shocking to all Fijians following the horrific tragedy.

Bainimarama has asked Fijians to remember the families and relatives in their prayers as they go through this heartbreaking moment.

Bainimarama also says that it was very fortunate that a child was found alive and is currently under the care of doctors and that he is also praying for her.

He adds the Police has assured him that they are giving this serious matter the resources and attention it deserves as they work to uncover the nature of this crime and discover who is responsible.
