PM expresses sympathies to British counterpart in wake of terror attack

Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama has written to the British Prime Minister Theresa May expressing sympathy on behalf of the Fijian Government and Fijian people for the latest terrorist attack in London.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims and those who have been injured, the PM said.

Bainimarama adding that n great solidarity and friendship it pains us deeply that Britain has again been subjected to a vile and cowardly assault on innocent people.

The PM reiterated the same sentiments in the wake of the Westminster and Manchester attacks that Fiji stands shoulder to shoulder with the United Kingdom as they confront the terrorist threat and are ready in assist in any way possible.
