A pastor who has been charged with two counts of rape and indecent assault has been remanded in custody.

The Nasinu Magistrates Court refused a bail application filed by Jone Cokanauto.

Cokanauto will have to apply for a fresh bail application in the Suva High Court.
The case will be called on October 16.

However, the Nasinu Magistrates Court will hear the case of alleged indecent assault on October 19.

The court heard that the alleged victims are members of the congregation that was led by Cokanauto and it has ordered name suppression for them.
