A local dentist is calling on parents to become proactive and ensure their children practice good oral health.

Dr Sagar Dhanji says parents should take their kids to a dentist from an early age and at the same time supervise them up to 8 years while they are brushing.

Dr Dhanji says regular visits to a dental clinic will also help them overcome the fear of visiting a dentist.

“Just to get children to accustom to the dentist. There is a big phobia of the dentist all over the world, especially in children. If they do have a good experience with the dentist at a very young age will help them to be confident to come to the dentist and do what they have to do.”

The Dentist believes early intervention may possibly eliminate oral disease amongst children.
