To further raise awareness and information sharing on renewable energy, the Local Government together with the United Nations Development Program and the Global Environment facility has developed an online renewable energy central information forum.
Local Government Minister, Parveen Kumar says the main aim of the forum is to provide information to the public in regard to renewable energy.
“Through this forum we will be able to reach out to the public at large and provide specific information relating to renewable energy and energy efficiency in Fiji.”
Meanwhile, Kumar adds that the forum will also focus on encouraging further actions to support government’s initiative to increase the use of renewable energy and expand energy efficiency in Fiji.
He was speaking at the launch of the forum in Suva yesterday.
