A low pressure system is currently moving over the Fiji group bringing rain and heavy falls to some places across the country.
According to the Weather Office, this low pressure system hovering over the Fiji Group will also bring isolated heavy falls in the interior of the main islands.
Acting Director Meteorology Viliame Vereivalu says this can be expected until Friday.
“Occasional showers and a few thunderstorms for the eastern parts of country and the interior of the larger islands. For other parts of the group its fine weather during the day and you can expect showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Isolated falls can expect rivers and streams to be flooded.”
Vanua Levu and Taveuni can continue to expect rain and thunderstorms.
Labasa has been experiencing isolated rain falls in the last two days which has resulted in flooding in most of the low lying areas.
