Attorney General Aiyaz Saiyad-Khaiyum says, the Water Authority of Fiji’s new Geographic Information System will bring a lot of efficiency in the services provided by the water agency.

And Saiyad-Khaiyum says, piped water customers should expect a smooth supply to their taps as the Authority will be able to detect faults and piping systems needing urgent repair and improvement through the GIS.

“There’re some places they have pipe but water does not flow all the time so the quality of life deteriorates. Part of modernization must equal to the quality of your life and your quality of life improves you just nor become happier or happy but in fact you become lot more productive. You able to use your time more efficiently.”

Sayed-Khaiyum says customers can expect their water supplies to improve through the new water infrastructure monitoring technology.
