An eight storey hotel and commercial complex will be constructed in Suva from the second quarter of next year.
The complex is a joint venture between the I taukei Trust Fund and the Methodist Church in Fiji Holding Trust.
The joint venture known as the Fund Trust Joint has announced the signing of the Management Agreement with Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group for a 130 room hotel at the proposed commercial complex development.
The General Secretary of the Methodist Church, Reverend Dr Epineri Vakadewavosa says the church is happy to be a part of this exciting joint venture which marks an important step in the development of its properties of the benefit of its members as part of its New Exodus.
The complex will be located along Stewart Street and St Fort Street within the CBD on properties currently owned by the two joint venture partners.
The hotel will be known as the NexGen (next generation) Park Inn by Radisson Fiji Suva and it is expected to be opened in the second quarter of 2018.
