A new hearing date has been set for Former Media Liaison Officer at the Ministry of Works, Transport and Public Utilities, Sainiana Waqainabete.

Defense had filed a notice of motion to have the hearing date which was scheduled for last week to be vacated as Waqainabete had to sit for her exams.

Waqainabete is charged with 11 counts of obtaining a financial advantage by deception.

It is alleged she obtained financial advantage by falsely stating that the Minister for Work had requested a total of $5760 over 9 separate occasions between May 2010 and June 2011.

The hearing will start on 6th March next year.
