Despite the costly price tag, there is a market for luxury cars in Fiji says Eurocars Chief Executive Bobby Niranjan.

He made the comment at the launch of their new Land Rover Discovery Sport vehicle in Suva last night.

Niranjan says the vehicle falls just below the $200,000 price range and adds they have already received a number of orders for the vehicle.

“So this product we believe is very suitable for Fiji because roads are improving and there’s a greater emphasis on fuel savings and we think the new Land Rover fits well with those new trends.”

This new vehicle has a 9-speed transmission and is the first car in the world to have airbags on the outside to protect pedestrians.
