Minister for Infrastructure Jone Usamate has spoken out strongly on the need for leaders of every government departments to perform at their level best.

Speaking to Civil servants in Labasa Usamate says leaders are the ones who should be taking the lead role in service delivery.

Usamate says leaders should be the ones who have the edge to make tough decisions.

“In an organisation that needs to do well we don’t need not just leaders but people who have the edge to deal with issues when they need to be dealt with and not brush things under the carpet.”

With more reforms currently underway in various government organisations, Usamate says it is vital to make changes for the betterment of service delivery.
