Labour Ministry aware of Green Oak issue

The Employment and Industrial Relations Ministry is aware of the Green Oak Fiji employees’ situation who have not been paid for the past three months.

Minister Jone Usamate confirmed to FBC News last night, stating that the Ministry is looking closely into the issue.

The 25 Green Oak workers had raised the issue fearing that the company had closed without paying them a single cent for three months.

FBC News has also tried speaking to the management of Green Oak Fiji, however have not been successful.

The Ukrainian based Joinery Company has been operating in Votualevu, Nadi for at least four years.
