India to assist PICs address climate change

India has pledged to assist Pacific island countries address climate change
issues.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with several Pacific leaders at a Forum for India-Pacifc Islands Cooperation in Suva yesterday.

Fiji’s High Commissioner to India Yogesh Karan says, India has offered one million US dollars to the Pacific island countries as seed fund to assist them from Climate Change.

Leaders and senior government officials of fourteen Pacific island countries attended the forum.
