The Health Ministry has revealed there’s an increased risk of mosquito-borne diseases due to the current rainy weather conditions.

Deputy Secretary Public Health, Dr Eric Rafai says these diseases include Dengue fever and Chikungunya.

“That is the reason for this urgency in terms of clean up during this period. This is the period that we expect any outbreaks to occur during the beginning of the wet season and during any dry spells.”
