The national job fair has enabled hundreds of Fijians to interact directly with over thirty potential employers.

The two day event has seen several companies hire several candidates on the spot while some employers have accepted applications and will conduct their assessments later.

Civil Service Reform Management Training facilitator Lanieta Young says they received almost four hundred job applications from Fijians seeking a post at various government ministries.

“We have almost 400 applications that have been registered for those positions. We will contact them once it has been advertised.”

Meanwhile, Epi Rawalai from Fiji Higher Education Commission says it was interesting to see that not only job seekers but those who are already employed were there to assess the available opportunities available.
