The HOTEC event which is the country’s largest annual trade show started in Denarau Nadi yesterday with more than 40 exhibitors.

Fiji Hotel and Tourism Association President Dixon Seeto says the trade show provides maximum exposure and interaction for local and international suppliers to the hospitality industry.

“A lot of people that are here is because it’s an area where a lot of people come to one place to get as much information they can to assist them in their tourism business and a lot of the companies here are competitors as well so if you are not here your competitor can benefit as a result.”

The two day workshop will also cater for several awareness sessions and side events.
