Heart surgeries conducted on 54 children

Fifty-four children have successfully undergone heart surgeries in the past two years under the Sai Prema Foundation’s ‘Gift of Life project’.

Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Medical Centre Director, Krupali Tappoo says more children will be assisted in April.

Tappoo says heart surgery will continue to be a major focus for the Foundation especially for those children who are underprivileged.

“We also been having heart surgery for congenital heart disease for children. That is our gift of life project and in fact in April this year, we will have an international team of doctors, and medical professions coming to do surgeries on children.”

The Foundation is also planning to conduct cardiac screenings at its Sanjeevani Medical Centre in Nasese, Suva to cater for Children with heart problems.
