Health Ministry looks at improving morgue services

The Health Ministry is looking at ways to upgrade the morgue services in Nadarivatu, Tavua which has a population of about five thousand.

Health Minister Dr. Ifereimi Waqainabete is visiting hospitals and nursing stations in the Western division.

He says they want to improve the three- bed mortuary services.

_” So what we have been talking about is actually enhancing the mortuary space making sure we put some benches on the outside making it more appealing. As you know for us during the time of coming and saying good bye to our loved ones, it’s very emotional time so just ensuring that we enhance the look and the way we portray it.”_

After visiting nursing stations in Nadarivatu, Nagatagata, Nadrau, and the Tavua Hospital, Dr. Waqainabete highlighted the areas they will be further focusing on.
