The Fiji Sugar Corporation is expecting a detailed report from its engineers to carry out necessary maintenance and repair works at the three sugar mills.

In their report the engineers will highlight areas that need fixing which includes the plants or the machinery in the mill factory.

Sugar Cane Growers Council chief executive, Sundresh Chetty, says this will ensure minimum disruptions during crushing in the coming season.

Chetty says apart from minor teething problems at the mills this year, the crushing went smoothly throughout the season.
