June 6, 2018 4:55 am

The termination of contract by consultants MWH Global in 2016, has not affected the works of the Fiji Roads Authority.

MWH was contracted to oversee a major road network upgrade across the country.
FRA’s chief financial officer, Robert Sen, says while the termination of contract and other matters are before Fiji’s judiciary system, FRA is now dealing with other consultants.

“The management of each major projects that was handled by MWH is now being handled within FRA staff. So we have engaged a number of key engineers whereby they are engineer to contract which was previously handled by MWH.”

Sen says they are now working with other consultants in terms of attaining expatriate advice on major projects.
