Flood waters continue to rise in Baulevu Road, Nausori.

Resident Rovil Chandra told FBC News that close to ten houses are affected by flood waters at the Waidra settlement.

“Situation is very bad here. Water keeps on rising and it is not going down. We are just hoping that by this evening at least the water goes down so that we are on the safe side. If it continues to be like this then we will have to go to the evacuation centre because the situation here is very bad.”

Chandra says the Wainasasa Bridge past Koroqaqa is also flooded.

He says hundreds of families living in the area are without electricity and water for past three days.
