Fiji/PNG Business Council to work on increasing trade

Recently elected president for the Fiji-Papua New Guinea Business Council Div Damodar says they will focus on increasing trade between the two countries.

Damodar says last year saw a 50 per cent decrease in trade amongst the two countries and he along with the executives plan to improve this.

Damodar added they plan to encourage small and medium enterprises in Fiji to step up and come up with good ideas to have their products exported to PNG.

“For the small and medium enterprises, think outside the box. There is a lot of opportunity. Do not restrict yourself to a certain level. Sky is the limit and I would like to help you facilitate all that”

The Fiji-PNG Business Council comprises of former first lady Adi Koila Mara Nailatikau, Laisa Weleilakeba, Alofa Seruvatu, Nirmal Nambier, Joe Taoi, Kevin McCarty and Godo Muller Tuet.
