In line with the government vision to achieve one hundred percent renewable by 2030, the Fiji Gas Limited is also playing its part.

Chief Executive Hans Reiher says currently the company is fossil fuel dependent.

Reiher says they have already developed a few strategies with the help of experts.

“The team has already started putting in strategies to move toward renewables using solar while keeping LPG as transitional fuel until the equipment catches up with the cost effectiveness.”

Reiher says a few hotels will soon use this system on trial and following its success, it will be extended to all customers.
