Nadi Businessman Praneel Charan Reddy appeared at the Suva High Court today in relation to the $100m drug bust in Suva.

Reddy is charged with one count of importing illicit drugs namely methamphetamine.

Reddy’s lawyer Babu Singh applied for bail but Judge Justice Priyantha Fernando has given the state time to respond to the bail application.

State has also requested to amalgamate Reddy’s case with that of Toa Junior who is the second accused in the matter.

Toa Junior’s case is before the Lautoka High Court.

Reddy has been remanded in custody and will re-appear in court next Thursday.
