The 30-year-old driver alleged to have caused the death of a 30-year-old man in Nakasi last week has been charged.

The accused has been charged with one count of dangerous driving occasioning death, one count of dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm and one count of drunk driving.

The incident occurred last Friday at the junction of Vavalagi Road after 7am.

The victim was walking with a 26-year-old co-worker when they were allegedly hit by a vehicle driven by the 30-year-old man who was allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol.

The man will be produced at the Nasinu Magistrates Court today.
