The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions is considering consolidating all 44 files relating to sedition and urging political violence.

At the moment separate cases are being called at the Lautoka High court on different dates but all with the same charge.

DPP Lawyer Semi Babitu made this known at the Lautoka High Court this morning following the hearing of six of the 44 accused.

Justice Aruna Alatughe has set 22nd September as the hearing date where the DPP is to finalize the consolidation of all the cases.

The DPP is to also submit to the defence full disclosures of the case on the date to ensure the case keeps moving.
