The death of a man found unconscious in Suva last night, is now being classified as an alleged murder.

The man believed to be in his twenties was found lying in a pool of blood by two men near the Suva Foreshore.

The alleged murder took place after 10pm.

It is reported the victim had passed one of the eyewitnesses accompanied by another youth.

Police say the victim is an i-Taukei male and was wearing light blue shorts and a red t-shirt.

He was taken to the CWM Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police are requesting for information on the incident that could help identify the man.
