Customers impressed by new airport facilities

The new departures and arrivals lounge at the Nadi International Airport is now open for the traveling public.

Travelers got firsthand experience of a number of newly upgraded tenancies including duty free shops, food and beverages and foreign exchange dealer to name a few.

AFL executive chair Faiz Khan says they still have a fair way to go renovating an operational airport and the plan has always been to open the airports renovated areas in stages.

Khan says with this opening AFL has completed more 50% of the renovation works.

FBC News caught up with the travelers.

_“This is really nice, there are lots of duty free stuff you can look at, the food is good and it have nice air-conditioning – I think it is beautiful, it’s really good.”

“Compared to Vanuatu I think Fiji is on the road map, of prosperity – it is growing.”_

The Nadi Airport Terminal Modernization project is year marked to be completed next year.

One hundred and five million dollars has been set aside for the project.
