The court heard that the woman was depressed and suicidal and she started talking about her personal life with

Reddy and a woman whom she met at a hotel.

They went up to the hotel room where Reddy allegedly offered her marijuana.

The court heard that after taking two puffs, she passed out and by the time she gained consciousness, she was being driven to another place.

The court also heard that Reddy had also made explicit videos of the victim and threatened her.

High court Judge Justice Daniel Goundar convicted the man of two counts of rape and one count of theft.

The matter will be called again in the next hour for mitigation submissions.
