DPP files supporting affidavit in Justin Ho case

The Prosecution in the case of an alleged airline drug smuggler has filed a supporting affidavit before the Lautoka High Court.

The affidavit is basically about Justin Ho’s pending bribery case with FICAC which is before the Nadi Magistrates Court.

Ho is currently charged with one count of unlawful importation and exportation.

He’s also facing one count of Unlawful possession, manufacture, cultivation, and supply contrary to Section 5(b) of the Illicit Drugs Control Act 2004.

The Prosecution informed the court they were not aware of Ho’s bribery case.

The matter was also scheduled for a bail ruling, however Lautoka High Court Judge, Justice Rangajeeva Wimala¬sena stated he was still not in a position to give the ruling.

Justice Wimalasena says he will have to go through the details of Justin Ho’s pending bribery case which was just filed today.

Ho is alleged to have without lawful authority facilitated in exporting two parcels weighing more than 2kg of cocaine and illicit drugs on December 23rd, last year.

It’s also alleged on the same day, the 28-year-old along with an accomplice engaged in the dealing for the transfer, transport, supply, use, manufacture, and sale of cocaine and illicit drugs.

He will reappear on the 28th of this month.
