Alleged murder case transferred to High Court

Luke Nasetava appeared before the Suva Magistrates Court today.

The case of a thirty-four-year-old farmer of Naitasiri, charged with murder has been transferred to the High Court.

Police prosecution requested for the case to be transferred to the High Court as murder is an indictable offense.

Nasevata has been charged with murder for allegedly stabbing his partner multiple times, resulting in her death in Rona Street, Walu Bay.

It is alleged that on 31st August the accused attacked the victim Amelia Mafi with a knife, at her workplace.

The case will be called at the Suva High Court on September 17th.

The accused is further remanded.
