Contestants vying for a crown at this year’s Hibiscus Festival are undergoing vigorous training.

Hibiscus Events Group Secretary – Aqela Cakobau says the rehearsals which take place three times a week are meant to boost the confidence of every participant.

“The training are on public speaking and we are also bring personnel from organisations who will be talking to them on issues on concern like environment of course we will have the ministry of health personnel also and this is just to prepare our contestants for the week of festival.”

The Hibiscus Festival will be held from the 17th to the 25th of next month at Albert Park in Suva.
