The Roc Market organizing committee is urging Fijians to help them raise funds for those battling cancer.

Event coordinator, Ellana Kalounisiga, says this Sunday the Cancer Society will also be present at the ROC market to help raise awareness as well.

Kalounisiga says people can contribute whatever they can for this worthy cause.

“The ROC Market is one of Suva’s biggest community based event and we are always looking at worthwhile causes to throw out support behind. So for the third year, we are running Pinktober. We will be collecting donations for the Cancer Society and selling pink ribbon.”

Kalounisiga says awareness on cancer is necessary as numbers are increasing every year.
