A delegation from the coalition government paid tribute to the late Minister for Employment, Productivity and Workplace Relations, Agni Deo Singh, yesterday.

The delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Industries, Manoa Kamikamica, presented a traditional i-reguregu to late Singh’s family at their residence in Dilkusha, Nausori.

Kamikamica reflected on Singh’s dedicated service to Fiji, saying his contribution to Cabinet and the nation will be deeply missed by the Prime Minister, Cabinet colleagues and those who had worked alongside him.

“Know that your husband and father served this country with honour and distinction, and you should be very proud.”

Other Ministers, Permanent Secretaries, and Government officials were also part of the i-reguregu.

Singh passed away in Australia while on official duties.

Reports say he had been engaging with Fijian workers and employers as part of the Pacific Australia Labour Mobility programme.

Singh will be laid to rest tomorrow.
