Not many man in the country are aware of Prostate cancer and its effects because there has not been much awareness on the issue.
This was highlighted by the Fiji Cancer Society who believes over the years, most cases involving prostate cancer has not been reported.
FSC Admin Supporter, Shiuwani Devi told FBC News a lot of men tend to underestimate the deadly disease.
“It doesn’t matter what you are or who you are because cancer can still affect you. We will also be helping everyone who is trying to organize tea or whatever they have for Movember and to raise funds to donate as well because without these organisations and their donations, the Fiji Cancer Society cannot help as many patients we have at the moment.”
Devi says prostate cancer is the most common non-skin cancer among men and usually grows slowly.
