A body of a 73-year-old man was recovered from the Navua River this morning.

Police Spokesperson, Ana Naisoro says the victim from Nakavu Village was reported missing by family members yesterday after his towel was found by the river bank near where he lived.

A search was conducted yesterday with negative result and continued this morning along the Navua River whereby a group of villagers managed to retrieve the victim’s body.

A post mortem will soon be conducted to ascertain the cause of death.
