17-year-old Tasleem Ali was laid to rest yesterday afternoon.

Ali and his car was retrieved at around midday yesterday after combined efforts from Police, the National Fire Authority and Navy divers.

His brother Aiyub Khan says they have done the burial rites after the body was released by Police.

Khan says they’re finally at peace as Ali’s body has been found.

It’s believed the car was traveling towards Nausori and tried to overtake another vehicle, but the driver apparently lost control, veered off the road and ended up in the river.

The accident happened last week Wednesday.
