An eleven month old baby drowned in a bucket of water in Nabekavu, Labasa yesterday.

His body was found by his father who had just returned home.

Attempts by the father to revive his son proved futile.

The baby’s mother is believed to have been somewhere in the house when the incident occurred.

A post mortem is expected to be conducted soon.

Police are urging parents and guardians to keep an eye on their children at all times to avoid such tragedies.

An investigation is now underway.
