Significant increases have been made to annual enrollment rates as the Government continues to invest in the education sector.

Education Minister Rosy Akbar says from 2014 every year’s average increase in enrollment of girls is at a rate of three percent each year.

Akbar says that’s a staggering increase of 16 percent over the past six years.

She says since the inception of free early childhood education, enrollment rates have surged from 1000 pre-school enrollments to over 19,000.

The Minister says by opening the doors to education, they have seen a continuous increase of one percent annually in primary and secondary school enrollment.
